welcome. let's get right down to business, shall we?
as most of you know I was recently cast as Brad Majors in Purdue's yearly production of 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show." first rehearsal was last night and just looking at the cast, I can see the characters. that is always a good thing.
I have also discovered that the director and I have different views on this production. he has worked with the show plenty of time before and really wants to put on "the experience." which I am all for. but I'm generally more concerned with making sure the audience gets a good show. this show will be the whole shibang. props, audience interaction, you name it. if you decide to join the fun, be prepared to see me acting like I'm having fun, but being rather uncomfortable.
as for classes, I have not yet had to deal with all-nighters or cramming. of course, it's only week three. my roommate however will stay up into all hours of the night working on homework. that, or he's shopping on amazon. which he is really good at.
H1N1 is rampant in Purdue, apparently. but do not worry, dear friends. I have a bottle of hand sanitizer on me everywhere. plus, the dining hall Purell Police are always on duty. speaking of dining halls, if any of you get a chance to visit, let me take you to dinner in one of them. they have outstanding food. the options are endless. it's practically a buffet.
i am also trying to keep involved here at Purdue. there are numerous call-outs for clubs and tonight, I have an interview with the Student Union Board (hereon called PSUB). they handle Rocky Horror and most other entertainment aspects open to students. biology club call-out is approaching and I'm also looking into research.
as my last note in every blog, I will post lyrics to a song that has stuck with me all week. this week features 'maybe (next to normal)' from the new musical, Next To Normal. enjoy.
that is all this week. take care.
